Hook Yarn Ladder is “taking crochet to new heights”. I use natural fibers and colors to create items that are functional and bring joy. Crochet is about experimentation with yarn, texture and geometry. Each stitch is an expression of those elements. I am exploring new combinations of fiber with other materials as seen in my frames and baskets. I search for quality yarns at reasonable prices to offer well priced hand crocheted pieces with frames starting at $10, baskets starting at $20 to shawls and wraps in natural fibers $35 to $60.
BarbacoApparel is a San Antonio-based, independent clothing line that offers unique designs for South Texans. Each idea, which highlights different aspects of Hispanic culture, is developed by the team and designed by Nydia. These vibrant graphics are then printed on soft, lightweight tees.
All shirts, which can range from sizes S to XXXL, cost $20.

Maria Lopez of Paint Conmigo. Born and raised in the West side of San Antonio I started Paint ConMigo last year so that I could offer kids as well as adults an alternative to their party
ideas and incorporate a mini art class. My reward has always been watching them smile when they hold up their masterpieces or hearing a customer tell me how happy they are when I’ve completed a canvas for them.
In short, when people ask me about the gifts I’ve been blessed with I like to recite this quote, “Our talent is Gods gift to us. What we do with it is our gift back to God”.
